A venture, not a fund.
We take positions in science we understand, and we stay close enough to be useful after the money lands.
LYT Consultancy W.L.L. is registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain and works across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, with research and manufacturing partners further afield. Biotechnology is the whole of what we do.
We operate on two sides of the same problem. On one side we invest in research and development — capital committed against defined milestones, across our four focus areas. On the other we build: our own development work is the computational design of next-generation proteins, and that capability is available to the ventures we back.
Where the capital goes
Early discovery through to translational work. We are comfortable at the stage where the science is real but the route to a product is not yet obvious, because that is the stage where operational help changes the outcome more than money does.
Why proteins
A diagnostic assay, a biologic therapeutic and a vaccine candidate are different products with the same underlying problem: you need a protein that binds what it should, folds the way it should, expresses at a useful yield, and survives manufacture. Solve that better and all four areas improve at once. It is the reason we work across them rather than picking one.
